The highly-anticipated Colorado will add a new dimension to the medium pickup segment, the third largest market segment in the Middle East. The pick-up offers superior levels of roominess, versatility and safety.

The 2007 Colorado is available in two cab configurations, single cab and double cab. Two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive variants are available with a comprehensive package of features which include power windows, power door locks and driver and passenger air bags. With a standard 2.4L SOHC engine on all trims and five-speed manual transmission, the all-new Colorado generates 123 horsepower @4800 rpm and 213 Nm of torque @ 3200 rpm. The 2007 Colorado's leaf spring system allows for tough suspension and combined with a robust rack-and-pinion steering system, offers a smooth ride on gravel or challenging road conditions.

"Strength and dependability are hallmarks of Chevrolet pickups and the new Colorado exceeds expectations on both fronts," stated Samer El Khalil, marketing manager for Chevrolet SUVs in the Middle East. "Medium size pickup customers have become extremely demanding when it comes to purchasing the right pickup. They not only look for a pickup that can offer a comfortable, smooth and safe ride but one that doesn't sacrifice the practicality and ruggedness that our customers expect from a pickup."

Safety reaches new heights with a host of comprehensive active and passive safety features on the all-new Colorado. Its rigid body shell structure and strong chassis help absorb impact with more strength and durability, should a collision occur. The pickup is also equipped with a three point safety belt for front and rear outboard occupants, standard dual airbags and front disc brakes to provide even higher levels of protection.

The new Colorado is expressive with its design, striking features and attractive exterior. It's clear, from the first glance, that the Colorado combines all the ruggedness of a pickup with the stylish lines and characteristics of a Chevrolet. The emphasis on exterior styling carries over to the inside as well, offering a comfortable feel, with its impressive finish and numerous features that affords drivers and passengers all the flexibility they may need. The 2007 Colorado double cab has the largest interior of any medium size pickup was designed for maximum payload of 1 ton, the Colorado provides one of the biggest cargo space in the medium pickup segment.

"Chevrolet has a reputation for building long lasting, dependable pickups. We expect to set new standards in the medium pickup segment and are confident that Colorado will achieve the same success here as it has in other parts of the world, contributing to the overall success of the Chevrolet brand in the Middle East," concluded El Khalil.
