24 out of 44 sewerage networks completed in Sharjah

The Technical Affairs Division of Sharjah Municipality proudly announced the completion of new sewerage networks in 24 out of 44 areas, which constitutes 67 per cent of the entire project being implemented in the emirate of Sharjah.
H.E. Sultan Al Moalla, General Manager of Governmental Projects and Public Services commented on the progress of the sewerage network project, saying, "The municipality has been paying keen attention to this project as it is a vital part of the lives of Sharjah's residents. 60% of the project has been completed in record time and we are optimistic about the completion of the remaining 40% of networks in the final stages".
Areas where the sewerage networks have been completed include Abu Shgara, Al Azaza, Dasman, Al Falaj, Al Faiha, Holwan, Al Aabar, Al Hazana, Al Jazat, Al Jubail, Al Khaledia, University of Sharjah, Al Majaz, Al Monakh, Al Mansoura, Al Nahda, Al Ramla, Semnan, Al Shuwaiheen, Al Sour, Om Trafa, Al Yarmouk and Al Qasimiah. Further, 90% execution of the network has been completed in Al Gubaiba, Al Gouare and the Industrial Area 1, as well as in Al Musalla and Al Nasreiah.
The rest of the areas including Al Butaina, Al Khan, Al Fesht, Industrial Area 4 and 5, Al Muraija, Al Majjara, Al Mumzan, Al Naba'a, Al Qulaiah, Al Refaa and Sharqan have seen a 10 to 80% project completion rate. However, most of these areas have seen over 50% completion.
As far as the connection of the sewerage networks to homes and buildings is concerned, the Sewerage Department of Sharjah Municipality released a report, which details that 90% of the sewerage network in Al Jubail, Maisalon and Al Mansour is completed, while between 60 to 80% has been completed in Abu Shgarah, Al Butaina, Al Gouir, Allailah, University of Sharjah, Al Majaz, Al Manakh, Al Muraijah, Al Nasreiah, Al Showaiheen, Al Soor, Om Torafah, Al Yarmouk and Al Qasmeiah. The rest of the areas were reported to have a 10 to 50% completion rate.
