CABSAT2007 DrDish awards announced in Dubai
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, March 07 - 2007 at 15:52
- PRESS RELEASE
CABSAT2007, the premier event for the electronic media and satellite communications industry, announced the winners of this year's CABSAT DrDish awards at an evening event last night.
Competition is fierce within the Middle East market, with over 200 channels in Arabic alone available, so industry recognition is an important asset for both local and international companies.
Steven Enseroth, Managing Director of Korean manufacturer Intek, who was presented with the award for best budget technology explains: "We are very pleased to have won this award because we are a young company which is just three years old. We have made many new contacts at the conference and the opportunities are good to do business."
His thoughts were echoed by Jaz Nehen-Rigby, Account Manager, Service Sat, who received the award for Most Innovative Product for Two Way Satellite Communications.
"To be honoured by those with experience in the industry is fantastic, we are very proud. The event has been very successful for us. It is good to see something we believe in turn into something others also believe in," said Nehen-Rigby.
The full winners list was:
- Most Innovative Satellite or IPTV Set Top Box (High End): The Kaon KSC-660HD, Korea
- Most Innovative Satellite or IPTV Set Top Box (Budget): The Vantage X 221 TS CI, Korea
- Most Innovative Accessory for Satellite Reception: The GTN multiswitch system
- Most Innovative Product for Two Way Satellite Communications: Servicesat, Cyprus
