The marine services facilitator said it will be showcasing for the first time all the advanced new services it plans to offer once it completes relocation from Al Garhoud to Dubai Maritime City.

The Dubai International Boat Show, the largest marine industry exhibition in the Middle East, is a classic showcase of yachts and boats from both local and international builders, together with the latest innovations in marine equipment and accessories.

Hamed Matar bin Lahej, General Manager, Jadaf Dubai, said: "Our participation in the upcoming edition of the Dubai International Boat Show will be a special one this year. It will be a good opportunity for Jadaf Dubai to showcase its brand new facility for building luxury yachts, and medium and small size boats.

'These sea crafts will come fully equipped with state-of-the-art systems. The integral services offered by Dubai Maritime City will attract more local and international companies working in ship maintenance and repair, something that will further enhance our established reputation in this field."

Jadaf Dubai, which was based on the banks of the Dubai Creek for more than 25 years, plans to relocate its entire complex in two phases, the first to be completed by April this year, while final pahse of the shifting is scheduled to be carried out by February 2008.

Jadaf Dubai is the Gulf's oldest maintenance and repair yard for small and mid-sized vessels and is one of the busiest dry docks in the world.

It features two docks that can accommodate vessels of up to 2500 DWT, and houses more than 270 companies specializing in ship building, maintenance and repair.

The relocation to Dubai Maritime City involves increasing the lifting capacity to 6000 DWT and providing an extended dry and wet berthing area, thereby increasing capacity several-fold.
