Etisalat beams at CABSAT 2007

Etisalat participated at CABSAT 2007 with an exciting demonstration of its entertainment on-the-go.

The newly launched Mobile TV service was displayed, and visitors were guided through the easy set-up steps. Another key demonstration was the advanced technology of DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcasting- Handheld), which brings television to mobiles in a much more advanced manner.

Users with DVB-H terminals (handsets) will be able to access advanced features of the broadcasted content on their handheld units, and enjoy the full benefits of interactive TV.

For the demonstration, Etisalat has concluded agreements with different channels that feature specialized content for different segments. These include Orbit News, Al Jazeera, Hawas, MTV India, Orbit-ESPN, Prime Sports, Dubai Sports Channel, Showtime Movie Channel and Cartoon Network.
