Travco Properties has stepped up efforts to build its projects' infrastructure with construction fully underway for the first phases of both Madinat Makadi in Hurghada to be delivered by the second quarter of 2007, and Almaza Bay to follow in December of 2007.
Travco invested its 27 years of experience in the tourism and hospitality industry in developing the new properties in Egypt's prime destinations to provide its guests with the utmost in leisure, recreation, entertainment and sports-facilities, in addition to the variety of real-estate options - all assuring the utmost in standards and the best views of the bay, sea, golf, marina, lagoons and outstanding landscapes both in Almaza Bay Resort for its spectacular location on the Mediterranean's most picturesque sea front and its long stretched beaches, or at Madinat Makadi for its beautiful long beach with a spectacular house reef. Madinat Makadi offers tasteful opulence and styled elegance providing the ideal setting for pure relaxation. Almaza Bay Resort is the company's disembarking development project on the North Coast. With the completion of the five planned hotels and resorts of the massive five million m² Almaza Bay Resort, the total capacity of the bay will reach 2,300 hotel rooms and 3,500 residential units of different designs and sizes - overlooking the sea, lagoons, the bays, or the golf course. All units are designed by the internationally acclaimed, Krause Bohne, a leading German architecture firm.
Almaza Bay Resort promises to provide its guests with endless recreational options with a vast Marina, Aqua Park, a tennis academy, a shopping mall, a world-class Spa and wellness center, horse back-riding tracks, a movie theater, and a conference center for business travelers. Planned ahead also is Almaza's 18-hole-championship golf course with a 9-hole standard course and 6-hole short golf course for exercise, a golf academy, and a pitch and putt.
The East Bay, Almaza Bay Resort's first phase, featuring luxurious residential units and overlooking the eastern bay of the resort, will be handed over starting December 2007.
The second project underway, covers three and a half million square meters at Madinat Makadi Village, which is a fully developed tourist village featuring 8 hotels in the four and five-star categories; in addition to, its luxurious residential area spread around the 1.4 million m². Madinat Makadi, 30 km south of Hurghada on the shores of the Red Sea, will feature 3000 residential units to be handed over starting March 2007.
Building on the Travco tradition of providing complete service, Madinat Makadi has been furnished with all leisure, recreation, entertainment and sports amenities, which are fully operational today, to guarantee a soothing prolonged stay. Madinat Makadi also includes eight hotels, a full range of sporting facilities and a beautifully designed 'souk', featuring over 145 outlets to meet all daily shopping requirements; in addition to a wide variety of restaurants, beauty parlor, a pharmacy, travel agency, and a bank; not to mention the world class Spa available at the five- star Jaz Makadi Star Resort.
The company plans to offer five different exterior and interior styles of villas and apartments. Moreover, Travco Properties is constructing the Makadi Golf Course -the picturesque 18-hole championship golf Course is designed by Sanford Golf Design (SGD). The plan includes a comprehensive golf academy featuring 20-acre practice range, nine-hole pitch-and-putt, and a three practice holes.
