German screen printing market leader ORAFOL Klebetechnik is to prioritise the Middle East market for future expansion following a dramatic 34.6 per cent increase in regional sales of its self-adhesive vinyl films in the first six months of the year.
"Of course the European market is most important to us but due to the fast development of the latest technologies in the Middle East, particularly the growing interest in digital printing, ORAFOL's business activities will be concentrated here for the foreseeable future," said Evelyn Zocher, Export Manager, ORAFOL.
"We will continue to work with our existing partners in the region as well as seek new partners in Syria, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Iran, India and Pakistan."
OROFOL will be returning to SGI next year where it will be exhibiting three new products in the exhibition's dedicated screen printing arena. The products are the Oracal Series 851 premium cast plotter films, Orajet window graphic films and Orajet 200mm digital printing films.
The screen printing arena, that will make its debut at SGI 2003, in response to industry demand from the quickly growing screen printing, digital imaging and colour separation sectors.
"The region's signage industry is constantly evolving and we want the show to reflect the rapid pace of change taking place as companies buy into the latest technological advances to meet increasing demand," said Mohammed Falaknaz, Vice-President, International Expo Consults, organisers of SGI.
"The Middle East market is expected to grow by 20% annually over the next five years with region wide non-petroleum infrastructure development driving demand for outdoor advertising solutions."
SGI 2003 will take place at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, from January 19 to 21.
