Qtel hits 1m customers

Qatar Telecom has clocked up 1m mobile phone customers, reported The Peninsula. The one millionth customer was awarded 1m free seconds, an easy-to-remember number, free monthly subscriptions for one year and a Nokia 3G phone. Qtel Executive Director, Customer Services Waleed Al Sayed is hoping that the launch of its 3G video calling feature will attract further customers.
