Three persons will be selected every year for cash prizes of AED 100,000, AED 75,000 and AED 50,000.

"The growth of any organization is driven by innovative ideas. All successful corporations encourage employees to come up with creative suggestions and solutions," said Abdulla Al Daboos, Director General of Emirates Post. "We at Emirates Post have launched this Award to motivate our employees to think out of the box and produce ideas that will boost productivity and profitability and help us raise the bar on services."

The Emirates Post management has established an internal committee with a mandate to examine each idea seriously and objectively, and decide the winners on merit. A set of guidelines and criteria has been circulated to all staff members. Employees are encouraged to submit entries online as part of the organisation's goal of migrating all services to electronic channels. All accepted entries will be evaluated within four weeks.

Among the goals of the Director General's Creativity Award are to raise levels of performance and quality, enhance productivity and growth, maximise profitability, reduce costs and raise standards.

Submissions will be accepted year-round until 30th September of each year and winners will be announced at the annual staff party in January. Entries received after the deadline will be transferred to the next award cycle.
