Under the patronage of His Excellency Humaid Al Qutami, UAE Minister of Health, His Excellency Dr Abdul Ghaffar Mohammed Abdul Ghafoor, Undersecretary, UAE Minister of Health, today inaugurated VLCC's Weight Management Clinic with specialised skin, hair and beauty services in Abu Dhabi.

The new centre, strategically located at Khalidya is the fourth VLCC outlet in the UAE and is expected to herald a totally new weight management and health experience in the capital.

Also present on the occasion were Ms. Vandana Luthra, Founder & Mentor, VLCC Group and Mukesh Luthra, Chairman and Managing Director of VLCC Group, Sheikhs, government officials as well as other key dignitaries. Dr Abdul Ghaffar later reviewed the facilities as he toured the centre.

The new clinic, situated on the mezzanine floor of Prestige Car Showroom Building opposite Rotana Mall at Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, is part of VLCC's ambitious Dh100 million GCC-wide expansion plan -- aimed at servicing its growing client base in the region.

Announcing the opening of the new centre, Vandana Luthra said: "We are proud to unveil our first Weight Management Clinic here. VLCC's Abu Dhabi clinic is in line with our promise to our consumers - to provide them with state-of-art services in a congenial and comfortable environment. The ever increasing incidence of obesity and lifestyle related issues only strengthens our belief that the need for a clinic of this nature is paramount for the people of Abu Dhabi."

She added: "Our research indicates that holistic health solutions largely address all these concerns and our weight management clinic in the Capital is well positioned to meet the needs of this health conscious market".

In his comments, Mukesh Luthra said: "Health issues are clearly on the global development agenda. Our expansion is largely governed by the challenges the new work culture is bringing with it. We are committed towards enhancing the health of each human being as well as effectively upscaling their fitness. This is our way of protecting the precious human resource. Our aggressive expansion plans in the UAE are prompted by the burgeoning population and a higher standard of living."

The new centre will offer VLCC's signature brand of customised slimming services including Weight Loss, Body Therapy, Body Firmer, Body Contouring, Gel Therapy, Lipofit and other Weight Maintenance Programmes. Also on offer are beauty services, encompassing regular hair wash, conditioning, different type of hair massages, spa therapies, Moroccan bath and skin-care services and make-up programmes.

Apart from its emphasis on world-class fitness and beauty services, the centre will also showcase VLCC's comprehensive personal care products. Patrons can choose from over 100 VLCC skin-care, hair-care and body-care products made naturally from Ayurvedic remedies.

The VLCC beauty treatments and its weight-loss programmes are the result of extensive research and scientific trials.
