EU wants iPod, iTunes split

The EU's consumer protection commissioner says that Apple's bundling of iTunes and iPods together is unfair, and that it should create multiple versions of its music store with songs that work on other devices. Meglena Kuneva told a German magazine that "something has to change", according to Newsfactor. But one analyst has warned Apple is unlikely to change its model, and would possibly shut down iTunes in certain countries in response.
