GHEDEX - Gulf Higher Education Exhibition will be organised for the 8th time along side TRAINEX - Technology Education & Vocational Training Exhibition which is the 7th in series and JOBEX - Omanisation & Job Opportunities Exhibition which is organised for the 5th year.
Sadiq Ahmed Khan, Director Sales & Marketing of OITE informed that GHEDEX, TRAINEX & JOBEX will begin from 16 - 18 April 2007 in MUSCAT at the Oman International Exhibition Centre and from 21 - 22 April in Salalah at Haffa House Expo Hall, Salalah. GHEDEX is organised under the auspices of Ministry of Higher Education whereas TRAINEX & JOBEX is organised under the auspices of Ministry of Manpower.
GHEDEX 2007 is Sultanate of Oman's and the Gulf regions 1st UFI Approved event which makes it a recognized international event. Supported by Britich Council and UNESCO the event also enjoys support from key organizations as sponsors.
DAAD, Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst is the Platinum and Visitor Bag sponsor. Sohar University, Oman Tourism College, Ajman University of Science & Technology, Ahlia University and Australian Education International are the Platinum Sponsors.
Dhofar University, College of Banking & Financial Studies and Majan College have signed up as Gold Sponsors whereas University of Salford, The University of Nottingham, Abu Dhabi University and Waljat Colleges of Applied Sciences have signed up as the Silver Sponsors.
The media sponsors are Oman Daily Observer and Oman Daily Arabic under the title Official Newspapers and Swift Connections are the Official Clearing & Forwarding Agent.
Dhofar University and Ajman University of Science & Technology have also signed up at GHEDEX - Salalah as Gold Sponsors and Silver Sponsors respectively.
All three events will have major industry players in the education, training and Omanisation sector. High number of students are expected to enroll themselves at GHEDEX with institutions accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education, Oman participating from Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Cyprus, Egypt, Germany, India, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Qatar, Sultanate of Oman, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
The organisers are anticipating 180 Universities and colleges at the GHEDEX exhibition. GHEDEX will set the most comprehensive regional platform showcasing a wider array of diverse, international study options in higher education for students, parents, young professionals and the academic organisation from the Sultanate of Oman and the Gulf Region

SHMS School Hotel Management from Switzerland will be participating for the first time and Ayla Aviation Academy from Jordan for the 2nd time. Falcon College of Hotel Management & Tourism, UAE and Technical & Administrative Training Institute, National Hospitality Institute SAOG and International Training & Educational Services from Sultanate of Oman are some of the exhibitors that will be participating at TRAINEX 2007.
Oman International Bank SAOG has signed up as the Platinum Sponsor of JOBEX 2007 and Consolidated Contractors Company as the Gold Sponsor. Galfar Engineering & Contracting LLC is the Silver Sponsor of the event.
JOBEX is the premier recruitment platform for the aspiring students and young professionals who are keen to establish their career. Leading Omanis companies and Gulf companies who are keen to employ Omani Nationals will be seen at JOBEX 2007. The Omani companies will also showcase Nationalisation achievements and future plans, promote the organisations' in-house job training and career development programmes, identify the skills available in the Sultanate and assist the nationals in identifying their educational emphasis to meet the market requirements.
