Benetton sets the tone for Spring 2007
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, March 13 - 2007 at 12:27
- PRESS RELEASE
Contemporary cool with a feeling of sophistication is the theme of Benetton's new Spring 2007 Collection for women and children.
"Although a lot of thought has gone into the designs and colour schemes of the new collection, the impression is one of relaxed and casual elegance. Bearing in mind that spring in the UAE is like summer in other countries, clothing is given a light, almost weightless feel to keep you cool and comfortable. The launch of our signature beachwear is also timely as most people take to the seaside at the onset of spring in March and April."
The women's' collection appeals to the young at heart with short denim skirts and shorts with single tone tank tops. The range of neon parkas and wraparound dresses whisper 'mod' and are sensible for cooler nights.
The accessories range for women includes colourful baseball caps emblazoned with diamond studded logos spelling street-smart funk, straw raffia caps to complement the light fabrics that are the hallmark of the collection, viscose shawls with an array of coloured stripes, and a mix of plain leather and printed cotton and leather bags, all made from environmentally friendly materials.
According to Dayal, Benetton's Spring 2007 Collection promises revolutionary designs for the UAE's increasingly demanding youth market.
Children today are even more fashion-conscious, and this has clearly had a say in the seven Benetton ranges developed for both boys and girls. From Chic Vintage to Fashion Flower Surf, Tropical Cruise to Mexico Beach, each line has a theme for the individual mood and place where children want to shine, from the playground to the fairground, from the streets to the beach.
The children's collection reflects the desire to emulate adults while maintaining innocence at heart with a line of trendy, airy pullovers and Hawaiian print shirts that don't dominate the youthful gist of fruit-toned tee shirts and two-tone striped tops.
The Spring Collection introduces stylish denim caps, cotton and straw bags to adorn delicate shoulders, and a variety of vibrantly flashy glitter and printed belts.
The new collection is now available at all Benetton outlets in Dubai - Deira City Centre, Mall of Emirates, and Jumeirah Centre in Dubai.
