AUD hosts Cisco Human Network seminar

The Information Technology Department at the American University in Dubai is organizing a seminar entitled The Human Network.
"We are living in a highly networked environment that is affecting and changing the intricate details of our social and professional daily activities and interaction habits. Students and professionals in this region must understand this change to initially cope with it and then start dreaming and innovating for the vast future potentials," said Dr. Khalid Khawaja Chair of IT department at the AUD.
Mr. Raza, a Distinguished Engineer at Cisco Systems, has over 12 years of experience in designing large scale IP networks. He has designed some of the largest networks in the world and has influenced technology directions and decisions within Cisco and ISP and NRN community worldwide. Mr Reza's presentation will describe "the emergence of new media rich applications that provide the power of expression to the individual, and how networks have transformed in the last decade from production to transaction and finally to interactions, the launching ground for the human network".
Ms Diane K Bauer has worked in the high technology industry for more than 25 years. In her current role as the Director of Advisory Services in Cisco, Diane is consolidating her efforts to "develop the culture and workforce in Cisco's service organization to ensure a diverse and inclusive environment."
In her presentation Ms Bauer discusses "the implications of the human network in enabling and extending the reach of economic opportunity, education, and political reform.
