Plug-ins Electronix celebrates an outstanding 2006 with Supplier and Brand Awards

The awards ceremony, now in its fourth year, is aimed at recognizing outstanding performance and key roles of Plug-ins Electronix suppliers and vendors.

Mr. Vishesh Bhatia, Group Director (Electronics, Engineering & Technologies), Al-Futtaim Group said, "Plug-ins Electronix has established itself as the leading multi-branded electronics retailer in the UAE. The awards ceremony is divided into nine main categories for the Suppliers awards and 12 for the Brands awards, with the 'Best Brand' and the 'Best Supplier' awards being the highlight of the evening. Al-Futtaim Panatech walked away with the Best Supplier award and HP took home the Best Brand award.

Other winners in the Supplier awards included Eurostar Communications for Best New Supplier, National Stores for Best In-Store Promotion, Rowena-ITE Distribution for Best Account Representative, Fatila Technology for Best in Stock Position, Samsung Mobiles Ultra edition for Best New Product Launch, Merlin BT Car Mirror-Soft Magic Systems for Most Innovative Product Launch, Redington for Best After Sales Support and Best Sales Growth for Jumbo Electronics.

The winners from the Brand awards included HTC for Best New Brand, HP Best In-Store Promotion, HP for Best Support to Stores, Sony HDD Camcorder for Best New Product Launch, Intel Core 2 and Most Innovative Product Launch, G-Hantz for Best Sales Growth, Panasonic for Best Cross Category and Best Digital Category awards, Nokia for Best Advertising and Branding Support and Sony for Best Overall Sales.
