Irish linen fit for a Queen at Motexha

To underscore the elevated status of Motexha 2007, a rather special guest from the UK will participate this year, 'by royal appointment'.

Peter Reed (Textiles) Limited, holds the unique accolade of being manufacturer of bed linen for Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II. Pioneers in the production of cotton bed linens, the UK manufacturer has decided to unveil their 'Original Hotel Sheet Collection' at the largest annual garments, textiles, leather and fashion accessories event in the Middle East.

Geoffrey Booy, Exhibition Director for Motexha at IIR Middle East, said, "Peter Reed's participation at Motexha 2007 is testimony to the growing status of our event. Not only is it the largest event of its kind in the region, we are now host to one of the finest linen manufacturers in the world, who can proudly proclaim 'by royal appointment'."

Using a unique blend of pure Egyptian cotton and Irish linen, Peter Reed (Textiles) will showcase their recently launched 'Original Hotel Sheet Collection', which comprises of bed, bath and sleepwear linens together with a range of essences and linen accessories, fit for a queen. In fact, Peter Reed (Textiles) is part of a much wider European participation that is continuing to grow each year at Motexha. This year a record number of 60 European participants, from Italy, UK, Turkey, Hungary, Portugal and Poland will be displaying their latest mid to high end brands.

"Due to the increasing per capita incomes and the growing middle class throughout the region, European manufacturers are now confident of securing mainstream demand in a price-bracket that is economically viable for them," added Booy.

In all Motexha 2007, which takes place at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC) on 19 - 21 March 2007, will accommodate over 225 exhibitors from over 25 countries, a 35 per cent increase over 2006. Ladies' Wear & Fashion Accessories will continue to dominate the overall industry mix. The show will also feature a dedicated arena for international brands and franchise labels, showcasing mid to high-end brands and new designers.

Motexha 2007 will showcase more than 100 exciting international brands that have found Motexha as their preferred launch pad to enter and strengthen their share in the lucrative Middle East Markets.

Motexha 2007 is supported by TEXMAS, the 300 member strong textile merchants group and promoters of the AED 220 million Dubai Textile City, as well as Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The show is also endorsed by key international governmental and private sector organisations including National Agency for Export Development (NAFED) of Indonesia, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery (CCCT), APICCAPS of Portugal and Thailand's Department of Export Promotion (DEP).
