Emanuele Accolla, managing director, and Krishna Murthy, general manager, Acer Computer Middle East accepted the award on behalf of the company, which was honoured in the manufacturing sector.

The award is part of a series of important recognitions for the leading technology pioneer. Acer received its first appreciation award in 2003 and won the Dubai Quality Award in 2006.
Acer products include PC notebooks, desktops, servers, storage systems, monitors and e-business solutions for businesses. Acer's customers include government organizations, educational institutions, companies and home users within the EMEA region.
The Dubai Quality Awards, organised by the Department of Economic Development (DED), was established under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed 10 years ago and is based on the Excellence Model of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).
The Dubai Quality Award Appreciation Programme is open to organisations that are committed to excellence and have begun to implement quality initiatives within their organisations.
By participating in these awards, organisations can sustain their competitive edge and contribute to the ongoing growth of key industries in the Middle East.
