Etihad diverted by sandstorms

Strong winds and sandstorms across the UAE yesterday, Friday, caused three Etihad flights bound for Abu Dhabi to divert to Al Ain, reported Gulf News. The flights were from Lahore, Peshawar and Mumbai and passengers had to spend an hour waiting on the runway at Al Ain before the aircraft could return to the capital and land. The poor weather also affected Dubai and Sharjah.
