Mobile digital TV solution showcased at EUROSTAR's CABSAT 2007 stand generates huge response

EUROSTAR, the global satellite industry leader, announced that the integrated end-to-end digital mobile television solution which was displayed at its stand at CABSAT.
EUROSTAR's stand at CABSAT featured a live DVB-H set-up including the DVB-H platform from RRD and Quantum's full range of handheld television dubbed QTM1000 Pocket-TV, previously unveiled at the 3GSM Congress in Barcelona, Spain and its QTM1000-Nav, the world's first mobile TV portable media player boasting GPS navigation system and Middle East maps. Consumers could also avail of the "DVB-H Trial Set-up in 60 Days", a trial package that will allow an integrated DVB-H solution with reasonable investment.
"We are overwhelmed by the interest created by this mobile television solution at CABSAT 2007. We had a steady stream of visitors on all days of the exhibition who were eager to know more about this innovative product, which is a complete solution for the broadcast and mobile media industry. Moreover, even after the event, we have been flooded with inquiries from prospective buyers who want to know about the availability of the solution," said said Raju T. Jethwani, Chairman of EUROSTAR Group.
"This is the first engineered DVB-H system capable of simulcrypting three different conditional access and on customer request the capability of merging with a Nokia solution. We are offering the end-to-end solution regardless of which vendor the customer would select for the content protection or platform. This solution reinforces the dedication of Quantum, RRD and EUROSTAR to bring digital television to the Middle East and enable consumers to enjoy home theater while on the move," concluded Jethwani.
During CABSAT 2007, EUROSTAR also displayed other models of handheld devices led by the QTM100, the precursor of the QTM1000, and its latest range of satellite receivers including the Arabic-enabled version of its Home Media Center, HDTV MPEG4 CI Receiver, DVB-T Automobile Receiver and the High speed USB enabled receiver.
EUROSTAR ensured its stronghold in the market with a recent posting of AED 500 million in sales revenue for its Cable and Satellite/Projects/Products Division. The satellite leader also announced that recent sales figures of its satellite receivers have crossed the 1 million mark.
