At its fourth consecutive presence at the international event, Emaar is showcasing the company's flagship project, Burj Dubai, alongside King Abdullah Economic City in Saudi Arabia and communities in India, Morocco, Pakistan and Turkey.

Mr Bernard Brochand, Member of the French Parliament and Mayor of Cannes, and Mr Tierry Renault, Director, MIPIM, toured Emaar's pavilion on the opening day. Mr Mah Bow Tan, Minister for National Development, Singapore, who visited Emaar's pavilion took a keen interest in Dubai's properties, particularly, Burj Dubai.

'The response to our participation at MIPIM 2007 is strong and encouraging,' said Mr Issam Galadari, Managing Director, Emaar International, Middle East and North Africa. 'This is the result of our international marketing campaigns that have enhanced Emaar's brand equity. We have also made inroads globally with key acquisitions - John Laing Homes in the US and Hamptons International in the UK - last year.'

This year, Emaar has significantly enhanced its participation at MIPIM by 2.5 times. Key attractions at the company's pavilion will include Burj Dubai, which was the highlight of Emaar's participation at MIPIM in earlier years too.

'There is sustained investor appeal for the project, which will house the Armani Hotel, Dubai that marks our collaboration with Giorgio Armani S.p.A to open luxury hotels in major international cities,' added Mr Galadari.

Emaar is a lifestyle developer with diversified interests in education, healthcare, finance, retail and hospitality. The company posted record profits of AED 6.731 billion (US$ 1.735 billion) in 2006 - an increase of 35 per cent over year 2005.
