RasGas aims for 50% lift

The Ras Laffan Natural Gas Company is aiming to increase its output by 50% by 2010 and produce 37m metric tonnes of LNG per annum, reported Bloomberg. Mohammed Saleh Al Sada, the MD of RasGas, said Qatar as a whole should be contributing about a third of the world's entire LNG supply within the next three years. Qatar's long-term target has been to produce 77m metric tonnes per annum by 2010.
