Energy City Qatar launches sales of commercial plots to investors

Energy City Qatar, today announced that it is offering public and private investors the chance to buy into this first of a kind purpose built business and residential cluster dedicated to the energy industry.

The city will provide a single point of access and a centre of excellence for the energy industry to interact, compete and co-operate at commercial and technical levels and most of all access key decision makers, in the region.

The $2.6 billion project will bring the industry's leadership together in one location, attracting investment from significant global players in the hydrocarbon chain thus providing a unique investment opportunity; offering high yields and low risk returns to potential investors.

Energy City Qatar is situated just north of Doha in the new master planned Lusail project and next to the Qatar Petroleum new headquarters. Energy City Qatar consists of a variety of different sized plots, seven sectors in the business component and four in the residential component designed on the elements of earth.
Energy City Qatar will cater to the specialised commercial, technical and human resource requirements of International Oil Companies, National Oil Companies, supports services, downstream shipping & trading businesses. In the heart of this uniquely designed business cluster, will be world class fully connected offices and the centre piece will be the new IMEX (International Mercantile Exchange) a dedicated trading platform of energy related contracts, futures derivative and products of energy commodities in the region, which reflects Qatar's growing eminence in the world of business.

This fully-integrated and organized business cluster, will house up to 20,000 employees making Energy City Qatar the intellectual center for oil and gas companies in the region. It offers the highest standards of connectivity and efficiency through strategic alliances with major players in the IT industry which will make it the worlds first IP connected city.

Commenting at the sales launch today, Mr Hesham Al Emadi, Deputy CEO - Energy City Qatar said: "Since the announcement and launch of Energy City Qatar we have received tremendous response from potential investors and developers across the GCC looking to invest in high-end business hubs, this would indicate investor confidence in the project despite a very competitive real estate market".
