Fareed Al-Alawi announced the expansion of network alliances between Gulf Air and Saudi Arabian Airlines

Saudi Arabian Airlines and Gulf Air have agreed to further strengthen and expand their code share alliance.
"We are proud of our strong and strategic bond with Saudi Arabian Airlines. This expansion bears testimony to our unique cooperation, which we firmly believe will bring further commercial value to the two Arab carriers," says Gulf Air Vice President Network Fareed AlAlawi.
"This code share alliance is a win-win for both us and the passengers, who will have more and better travel solutions at their disposal," says Mr. AlAlawi adding that the two carriers will have 41 flights a week per direction operated together with the addition of the new Riyadh - Bahrain - Kathmandu services.
"Both Gulf Air and Saudi Arabian Airlines are two outstanding airlines always seeking to improve their offerings and services to their costumers. I am confident this expansion of the code share relationship, between the two brotherly carriers, will also prove successful like it is on all our other routes of cooperation," says Dr. Ayed Alamri - General Manager Bilateral & Commercial Agreements, Saudi Arabian Airlines.
The two carriers discussed the many opportunities to further expand both their code share network as well as other possible areas of cooperation such as their Frequent Flyer Programs, IT and Cargo.
Gulf Air and Saudi Arabian Airlines signed their first code share agreement in 2003. Since then, the two carriers have continued to working closely together to extend their route networks.
The Riyadh - Kathmandu flights complements the existing international direct flights Saudi Arabian Airlines and Gulf Air offers together in their alliance between Dammam - Kathmandu, Riyadh-Bangkok, Bahrain-AlMedina AlMunawara, Muscat - Dammam/Jeddah /Riyadh and Bahrain - Dammam/Jeddah /Riyadh.
