Cisco's Connected Real Estate solutions to be offered to Bin Salem Group

The MOU signing ceremony was held at Rotana Beach Hotel in Abu Dhabi and was attended by senior executives from both parties in addition to several media personals and distinguished Government Representatives. Mr Helal Al Rumaithi Managing Director of Kenzi Technology and Mr. Mazen Jabri UAE General Manager of Cisco had officially inked this MOU to what could only be a mutually beneficial agreement.

The purpose of the MOU is to provide Bin Salem Group with Cisco's TREC (Tourism Real Estate and Construction) advisory services. TREC is designed to address increasing demand for intelligence in network infrastructure from the tourism, real estate and construction sectors. In addition, the MOU envisions that Cisco will provide specialist services for Internet-related projects, including the design and creation of a connected real estate framework.

"Today's agreement with Bin Salem group marks another milestone in the tremendous growth that Abu Dhabi is undergoing in the real-estate, tourism and construction sectors," said Mazen Jabri, UAE General Manager in Cisco. "I would like to congratulate and commend Bin Salem Group on its vision and reiterate that Cisco's TREC solutions are ideal to boost employee productivity, overcome legacy communications systems challenges, manage costs, and generate new revenue streams for organizations operating in tourism, real-estate and construction."

Cisco has been selected by Bin Salem Group as a primary technology provider for a new 22 story office building located in the Nation's capital. Bin Salem Group's Aim is to make this building the first fully converged Cisco Connected Real Estate showcase in the UAE.

Special unique features of this building includes: full Intelligent monitoring and security services via 1 common IP network, pre wired offices for voice, data and video, central monitoring and control of the entire building services and activities, and Intelligent control of heating, lighting and cooling.

Through TREC, Cisco will automatically and securely connect building owners and tenants to innovative amenities, applications and features that allow people to do things, better, faster and cheaper.

The proposed clusters that will constitute the first development phase of the project includes the design and launch of the Bin Salem 22-story building, in addition to other projects to follow such as nine residential buildings, offices, a five start hotel and a shopping mall.
