Mustafa Al Hindi, Chief Human Capital Officer of Tatweer said: "We place the greatest emphasis on the right people for the right job, apart from our insistence on the highest quality in all that we do.'

"We firmly believe that our greatest resource is our people, especially the young and ambitious citizens, who are ready to take up positions of leadership; a reason why we have started a fresh graduate training programme that identifies potential leaders and provides comprehensive training to maximise their competencies," he added.

The Tatweer Graduate Trainee Programme was launched in June last year with the "Meet Tatweer" event.

"I chose Tatweer not because it has a big name, but because of what Tatweer's CEO said that if you give 100 per cent to this company, it will give 150 per cent in return," pointed out Danya Al Muhairi, one of the trainees.

Ghanem Al Hajri, another trainee said he opted for the programme because "Tatweer is a new and dynamic company that will provide nationals like me the opportunity to grow. Besides, you have the possibility to learn and receive training here and abroad".

Tatweer's Graduate Trainee Programme was implemented with 10 fresh graduates, who were rotated across all Tatweer departments to gain an overall view of its operations while networking with the staff at all levels in each section.

"The programme allowed us to acquire an easier understanding of the organisation and its structure. The programme's mentor helped us identify and deal with the issues that we are likely to face in the company," said Majed Al Majedi, one of the 10 trainees.

Amal Karmostaji, a trainee, said "the programme offers the chance to successfully operate in a multi-cultural cosmopolitan environment."

"The toughest challenge I faced in the programme was to learn to communicate with other employees in different entities of Tatweer. We had nine rotations and we met with different employees with varying cultures," said Sulaiman Baharoun.

Some of the trainees suggested the Tatweer programme could become a model for other companies to adopt.

"From my perspective, it is very beneficial to move across various departments to learn the concept of goals and accumulate knowledge and apply it. It is a good model that could be adopted by other companies," said Humaida Al Khalsan.

The trainees felt they had not only profited professionally from the experience, but also personally.

"This programme got me involved with the best team and coordinator ever. Working with fresh graduates from different universities and backgrounds helped me overcome my shyness and uncertainties in my work capability," said Sumaya Al Ali.

Several of the trainees have recommended the Tatweer Graduate Trainee Programme to their friends and all have opted to work full-time at Tatweer.
