The announcement came during a press conference held at Baghdad International Fair, the headquarters of the state company for Iraqi Fairs, in Baghdad.
Al-Sa'adi declared that GIX, which is being held by the Iraqi Ministry of Trade in cooperation
with I-vision Company for PR and Media, obtained full support from the Bahrain Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and their willingness to provide facilities needed to ensure the success of the event.
He added that invitations have been distributed to several countries through the Iraqi
Commercial Attachés and he hoped that the event would be a huge success for activities among the Gulf region's foremost companies willing and seeking to invest in Iraq.
During the conference, Al-Sa'adi stated that the State Company for Iraqi Fairs and the Iraqi
Ministry of Trade are not responsible for other exhibitions and events held inside or outside
Iraq with being coordinated with the company and the ministry, even if the organizers of
these events claim benefits for rebuilding Iraq.
'The Iraqi Prime Ministry has given instructions regarding this issue, and emphasizes that
any exhibition is the specialty of the Iraqi Ministry of Trade exclusively'.
Bahrain witnesses the commence of GIX 2007
Mr. Sabah F. Al-Sa'adi, the Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors, announced GIX 2007 (the Gulf Iraqi Expo) 1st - 3rd of November 2007 in the capital of Bahrain, Manama.
