Lucy Switchgear selects Sage ERP for global rollout

Lucy Switchgear, a leading UK based manufacturer of electrical switchgear has selected Sage Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for a global rollout including Saudi Arabia, UK, UAE & India.

The agreement was signed recently in Dubai by Algosaibi Information Systems, a Sage Enterprise Partner.

Lucy Switchgear is using Sage ERP at its Jebel Ali factory for two years. The software has helped it to efficiently plan its material requirements and optimize inventory. Lucy now plans to implement a 75-user Sage system spread across a second manufacturing plant in Jebel Ali, its Saudi operations, UK head office and India.

Brian Urquhart, General Manager of Lucy Switchgear said, " We chose Sage because it is a tested, robust solution that offered us good value for money. Sage meets our functional requirements and is ease to use. We are also extremely happy with the high level of expertise and commitment demonstrated by Algosaibi Information Systems."

Shishir Srivastava, Director of Sage Software Middle East said, "The equipment Lucy manufactures, in some cases, is made up of over 600 components. Sage has helped them automate their entire material requirement planning process, ensuring that the various components required to make a product are available on time. "

Brian Urquhart, General Manager of Lucy Switchgear said, "In the future, we plan to automate other processes such as routing and supply chain. We see huge efficiencies being gained by automating our supply chain."
