IBM wraps up 'Lotus Comes to You' Middle East regional roadshow

IBM, together with its partners GBM and SBM, has wrapped up a roadshow across the Gulf region aimed at introducing new innovations and advances in Lotus Notes and Domino software.

The roadshow, focused on fostering innovation, encouraging collaboration and differentiation to promote sustainable business growth, took place in Bahrain on 21st February followed by Dubai (1st March), Oman (5th March), Qatar (7th March), Kuwait (12th March) and Saudi Arabia (19th March).

"Today's businesses require a flexible and high-performance work environment in order to respond effectively to the changing demands," said Bashar Kilani, software group manager, IBM Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan. "With IBM's latest Lotus Notes and Domino technology, businesses are provided with a fully integrated collaborative environment with enhanced features that allow them to become more effective and responsive."

The "Lotus Comes to You" roadshow focused on the evolution of IBM's lotus and Domino family which promotes the next generation email and collaboration platform that assists users to streamline daily business tasks running across a variety of computing platforms and technology software systems. By offering a flexible work environment based on open standards, IBM's latest technology delivers a high-performance environment that natively links to other software components such as social software, collaborative content management, and unified communications.

The roadshow also focused on IBM's WebSphere Portal solution which entails the complete portal services that are necessary to deliver a single point of personalized interaction to applications, content, business processes and people for a unified user experience. IBM also provided customers insights on how to speed business transactions and increase productivity with intelligent, easy to use workplace forms that allows them to have access to instant information anywhere and at anytime.
