Dr. Ayoub Kazim, Executive Director of Knowledge Village, received WBI MENA Regional Coordinator, Tatyana Leonova and briefed her on the education sector in the UAE and DKV's activities and strategic vision.
Dr. Ayoub said:
"Dubai Knowledge Village is keen on forging a network of strategic partnerships with renowned institutions to help create synergies for knowledge development. Our meeting with the World Bank Institute helped us explore the exchange of global best practices and experiences that are relevant to the local scenario."
The World Bank Institute began as the Economic Development Institute in 1955. It now reaches more than 90,000 people a year through more than 800 activities, including policymakers in all economic sectors, mid-level and high-level government officials, parliamentarians, members of the judiciary, journalists, civil society leaders, and other opinion makers involved in developing their communities.
WBI accomplishes its goals through training courses and seminars, policy advice, technical assistance and long-term relationships with service delivery institutions and capacity building organizations. To extend its reach, the Institute also delivers mass products to select clients, using information technologies, mass media, and other knowledge-sharing instruments.
