The company had launched its latest Mercedes-Benz models, the 1st Fab Design E-Class and the face lifted S-Class and CL-Class at the show.

Visitors to the Gargash stand could book test-drives on all Mercedes models including the Fab Design E-Class and other face-lifted models and get further information on how to configure the car of their dreams. This facility is now available at the six Gargash showrooms, three of which are located conveniently in Dubai. Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah also have dedicated Gargash showrooms.

The International Automobile Show was the venue for the world premiere of the first Fab Design E-Class in the world. The Fab Design combines sporty design elements like uniquely shaped front and rear bumpers and contoured side skirts with high performance elements like diffusers to minimise the downforce and a supercharged engine, which gives to the standard V8 500 440 PS and 630 NM torque and a top speed of 296 km per hour.

Other features of the Fab Design include: unique triangle shaped centred dual tailpipes; a new rear design window spoiler; Fab Design 20-inch light alloy wheels, painted silver with titanium screws; Dunlop high performance tyres, and an exclusively handcrafted interior.

The face-lifted S-Class, the world leading car in its segment, has a number of attractive and innovative modifications that enhance its reputation as a role model and trend-setter. The Mercedes-Benz flagship model features the world's first PRE-SAFE pre-crash occupant safety protection scheme, which can detect an impending collision and puts the occupants and the vehicle on standby before an impact happens.

The car also features: 4MATIC four-wheel drive system in 6 and 8 cylinder models to raise traction and stability; a powerful new 12-cylinder, twin turbo engine with a maximum output of 500 hp; 6-cylinder models with increased power and torque; subtle rear and front design modifications, and exclusive interior design improvements.

The face-lifted 2003 CL-Class Coupé sets new standards in the areas of design and technology and features an even more exclusive interior and the latest technology. New design features include: updated twin headlamps with clear-lens design; a powerful restyled front bumper; a new twelve-cylinder biturbo engine that generates 500hp; a new sensor system to enhance occupant safety; and exclusive interior design improvements.

The safest car in its category, the C-Class has a number of new technical highlights that will be showcased at the event. The new model will feature; a new generation of 4-cylinder engines delivering maximum performance; the innovative DISTRONIC cruise control system and powerful high-tech headlamps.
