Energy City Qatar acts as platinum sponsor at MEED Conference

Energy City Qatar, the Middle East's first energy business cluster, which recently sponsored the Finance and Investment in Qatar Conference in London, also participated as platinum sponsor in the MEED Major Energy Projects in Qatar, a two day conference held at the Four Season Hotel, under the patronage of H.E. Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Energy & Industry and Chairman of Qatar Petroleum.

Speaking at the conference, Hesham Al Emadi, CEO of Energy City Qatar, expressed his happiness with the opportunities generated at the event. "The subject for this year's conference was 'Emerging strategies in the energy service sector' and we felt that this strongly reflected Energy City Qatar's objective of creating the first energy business cluster for the region's energy industry," he said.

During the conference, Mr Al Emadi also discussed the impact it will have upon its completion and how it will attract global investment to Qatar.

Proactively making its mark on the oil and gas industry and after having recently launching the sales of plots this $2.6 billion project will bring the industry's leadership together in one location, attracting investment from significant global players in the hydrocarbon chain thus providing a unique investment opportunity; offering high yields and low risk returns to potential investors.
