Infiniti FX designed to break convention

When first introduced to the Middle East the FX became an instant hit where its unique mix of original looks, styling and comfort pressed all the right buttons with trend-setting motorists who place a high premium on image and status. It is the true Japanese fusion of style and precision.

"The FX has always signified Infiniti's unique personality, with dramatic styling, unmatched handling and performance, advanced technology features and the go-anywhere, do-anything utility of all-wheel drive and flexible cargo space", said Mustansir Lakdawala, Infiniti Brand Manager at Infiniti Middle East. "There is a growing number of crossovers on the marketplace today, but none has come close in any dimension to the Infiniti FX", he added.

"Powerful and elegant" are the key words behind the Infiniti design identity. Expressing this identity, its designer sought what they called a "cool fusion" - the blending of a substantial, SUV lower body with the sleek, elegant upper body more reminiscent of a classic sports car.

The exterior of the FX is all about projecting a unique sense of agility and dynamic performance - along with a healthy dose of SUV versatility. It features a wide, aggressive stance with a long, sleek hood, sleek roof and a dark chrome front grille. The "in-motion" look of the FX is provided by wide headlights and taillights extending past the body slightly to help create aerodynamic downforce. Added chrome side sill cover and side window molding give a new touch of luxury to the refined exterior.

The interior of the FX provides a blend of the comfort and amenities of a luxury car with an array of high tech features for the driver and passengers. The designers created three separate "zones", each personalized for the specific needs of the persons using it.

FX has the agility of a sports car, the versatility of an SUV and the luxury of Infiniti. Infiniti FX was engineered to blur limits and break conventions. While it prides the Infiniti brand with its unique design and sporty elegant style, at the heart of the Infiniti FX is a 3.5-litre V6 engine, producing a muscular 289 horsepower with a 5-speed automatic transmission and manual shift mode. Other advanced standard technologies in the Infiniti FX include intelligent key, rear view camera, tire pressure monitor, folding mirrors and front & rear parking sensors.
