DP World UAE expects around 2,000 applicants to register online and in person at the event. All applications will be examined by the Human Resources department. Successful candidates will be notified upon completion of the evaluation process.
Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior VP and MD of DP World UAE said: 'As a leading nationally headquartered company, we are keen to increase the number of UAE nationals' participating in our successful growth. This is in line with Dubai's 2015 strategic plan, which emphasises the integration of nationals into Dubai's economic development'.
With over 40 organizations present at TEW, DP World UAE will have one of the largest stands at the event with representatives from different departments on hand to discuss the multitude of opportunities available.
'We experienced impressive interest in DP World's job offerings at the Careers UAE 2007, receiving over 5,000 visitors and more than 3,200 applications,' said Nasser Al Madani, Director of Human Resources Department at DP World UAE region. 'We hope our participation in Al Ain's Training and Employment week will yield the same level of response.'
Al Madani explained the applications from Careers UAE were being filtered and applicants would be contacted shortly.
'It's very encouraging to know that DP World commands such a high appeal among national job seekers. It shows we are on the right track both as an employer and as a leader in our industry.'
TEW, organized by the United Arab Emirates University and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will host a series of seminars and workshops alongside the employer and training exhibitions.
