ADNH sponsors UAE Scout Association Golden Jubilee Celebrations

The celebrations, taking place between March 23rd and December 31st 2007 under the theme "One World... One Promise", are being held under the patronage of HH General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE armed Forces. They include activities highlighting the scout movement, it importance and its role and achievements in influencing the lives of the young.

Mr Ahmed Thani Al Dousari, Secretary General of the UAE Scout Association said, "The support we have got from ADNH and other partners reaffirms the commitment of national companies and organizations to help us better serve the society and achieve our noble values and goals."

Mr Khalfan S. Al Shamsi, Marketing and Public Relations Manager, ADNH said, "Our sponsorship of the anniversary celebrations reflects our pioneering role in working closely with socially-relevant organizations. The UAE Scouts Association has played an important role in the UAE over the past five decades of its

existence, It has successfully strengthened a scientific, cultural and sporting temperament among the young, organized various scouting activities such as conferences and camps locally, regionally and internationally. We are glad to support this Association".

Globally, the Scouts Movement was established in England in 1907 and this year marks the hundredth anniversary of the movement. The UAE Scouts Movement was established in 1957 by various educational bodies in Sharjah, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.

ADNH is an active supporter of societal activities in the UAE. The company recently sponsored the Al Ain 2007 Aerobatics Show and the Open Day Activities for people with special needs.
