RTA participates at the Metro Rail Conference in Rome

H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Roads and Transport Authority's (RTA) Chairman of Board of Directors and Executive Director, headed the RTA delegation participating in the Metro Rail Conference in Rome.
Al Tayer will be one of the key speakers in the conference where the Chairman of New York Transport Authority, Chairman of Rome Transport Authority, Executive Director of London Metro, Chairman of Board of Directors for Taipei Transport Agency in Taiwan and Executive Director of Seoul Metro Agency in Korea will also deliver their speeches.
In his speech, Al Tayer will throw light on the plan adopted by the RTA to overcome the transport and traffic challenges. Abdul Majeed Al Khaja, Executive Director of Dubai Rail Agency, will also deliver a speech on the operation and maintenance of Dubai Metro.
In addition to Al Khaja, Engineer Abdul Reza Abu Al Hassan, Director of Planning and Rail Design Department, Engineer Ramadan Abdulla, Director of Rail Operation Department, Dr. Khalid Hamdy, Advisor of Projects at the RTA Chairman's office and Badria Khalifa, Public Relations Manager at RTA will accompany Al Tayer.
Mattar Al Tayer, assured that this conference gains its importance as it is a gathering where the transport and rail specialists join forces to discuss the latest technology in the infrastructure of building the railways and tunnels, rail interiors' designs, luxury systems, as well as the internationally recognized rail structures, rail manufacturing, safety and security measures in the metro networks and the service quality delivered to commuters.
He also said that the participation in this international conference is considered an excellent opportunity for the governmental parties in charge of operating the metro, manufacturing, operation and maintenance companies and the international consultants and contractors in this field, to benefit from the experiences and expertise of the countries precedent to build the metro networks, and learn about the methods pursued in ensuring the safety in the metro networks, in addition to keep abreast of the international expertise in transport generally and railway transport in particular.
The RTA delegation will pay a visit to Rome's Metro Agency and it will further be briefed to the magnetic operated buses at the Netherlands capital City of Amsterdam and the Tram Systems in the French City of Bordeaux.
