Dubai Contracting Company (DCC), a leading Dubai-based international contracting company, and Ready Mix Beton (RMB), a leader in the production and supply of ready mix concrete, have recently achieved a new construction record in the UAE for a continuously poured concrete raft at their new project, the Al Durrah Tower, in Dubai's World Trade Centre Area.
"Pouring this volume of a special Self-Compacting Concrete needs a high-efficiency, precision based operation; as well as excellent coordination like that which exists between RMB and DCC" said a Ready Mixed Beton representative.
The largest continuously poured concrete raft in the emirates will support the 50-storey luxurious residential building, Al Durrah Tower, that comprises of 474 apartments, a spa, a swimming pool and squash courts. The project, being developed by consultants WS Atkins and overseas partners, is due for completion by November 2008.
