Ward shut at Jeddah hospital

The burns department at Jeddah's King Fahd Hospital has been closed by the Ministry of Health following a string of complaints by patients and their relatives, reported Arab News citing the Al Madinah newspaper. Although around $2.7m was spent on upgrading the department, a number of patients' conditions worsened, leading to some deaths, due to a lack of proper equipment and poor staff performance.
