Hussein Murad, Sales & Marketing director of Ford Middle East said: 'Ford is pleased to support this innovative promotion, as we believe it is yet another opportunity for us to help the youth realise their dreams. This is also a natural fit with our youth communications strategies and we believe the exciting new youth models we're launching, especially the new Edge, will be instant hits with Virgin customers.'
The display of Edge at the Virgin Megastore coincides with its launch in the UAE. The new model is available at both Al Tayer Motors in Dubai and Northern emirates, and Premier Motors, in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
Equipped with an all-new 286-horsepower 3.5L V-6 engine and class exclusive 6-speed automatic transmission, Edge delivers a sporty performance and fuel efficiency. The new model can comfortably fit five passengers, offers six-way power, heated, adjustable front seats and best-in-class adult headroom and legroom for the second row. An easy-to-use available folding front-passenger seat creates an extended load floor.
Apart from its bold design, Edge has a class-exclusive panoramic Vista Roof™ that gives passengers a grand view of the sky above and gives a sense of freedom that highlights Edge's sporting nature. The CUV is also equipped with an MP3 audio jack - a first in its segment.
'Edge is packed with Ford innovation - from the panoramic glass roof and laptop-friendly centre console to its fuel-saving engine and advanced safety features. We are confident that Edge will make waves to the hot crossover market this year,' added Murad.
To join the Virgin Megastore-Ford promotion, music lovers will have to purchase a total of 75 Daxar music CDs till June 15th. Each customer will get one stamp for every CD purchased. The first 200 buyers who have collected the 75 stamps instantly wins a trip to the UK to attend the Global Gathering 2007 courtesy Ford and Virgin Megastore.
