Western Digital maintains 60 per cent market share in Egypt

Western Digital Corporation, the world's leading manufacturer of hard-disk drives, and its in-country channel sales partner, North Africa Company (NAC), today announced the successful completion of a customer-focused executive seminar addressing the market demands for hard disk drives in Egypt.

More than 150 high-level customers of the company assembled to learn more about Western Digital's latest technologies, as well as its plans to bring new products to the country's users.

The company - represented by Carole Lawler, WD sales manager for Middle East and Africa, and Alex Blackwell, WD senior field applications engineer - demonstrated one of the company's latest products, the 200GB drive.

The Company's 200 GB capacity WD Caviar 7,200 RPM hard drives, nicknamed "Drivezilla," are the largest EIDE and fastest spinning desktop hard drives currently shipping in the industry.
