e-TQM College celebrates quality expertise at their annual gala dinner

Dr. Armand Val Feigenbaum also attended as an honorary guest in Dubai for the first time ever to award the prestigious Feigenbaum Leadership Excellence Award.

"This event marks the close of this year's award ceremony, but more importantly it raises the bar tremendously high for the competitions in the year 2008. This again reiterates e-TQM Colleges ongoing dedication to the dissemination of knowledge in the quality arena to its students, the media, the public and of course to leaders across the Arab world" said His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim - President of e-TQM College. "The College offers its sincere appreciation to all who took part, and I can only look forward to what next years award bring".

The Feigenbaum Leadership Excellence Award was launched two years ago in consultation with international eminent gurus and experts, to celebrate the achievement of leadership at various levels. Dr. Armand Val Feigenbaum recognised His Excellency Abdulla Hasan Saif, Advisor to His Highness the Prime Minister for Economic Affairs in Bahrain as an Accomplished Leader. His Excellency has lead and successfully managed the Kingdom of Bahrain's economy through development of indigenous human resources, in promoting international free trade and investments, and in sustaining the countries international relations across cultures and religions.

The Pan Arab Media Quality Award, now in it's fourth year began as a pioneer project to amplify the message of quality. In an effort to raise this awareness, e-TQM College invited media to participate by submitting articles, research, feature stories or interviews relevant to Quality. This years winners each received a trophy and a new laptop, which were awarded to Kavitha Rajesekhar, Computer News Middle East for Best Research; James Bennett, Arabian Business for Best Interview; Surendar Balakrishnan for Best Article and Nancy Sudheer, Enterprise IT for Best Feature Story.

The Harrington Best Thesis award has been named after a scholar, intellectual thinker and a friend to the College - Professor James Harrington. Last year the e-TQM College graduated 24 MSc students, of which 12 applied for the Harrington Best Thesis Award. The first winning thesis selected by an international jury was written by Mrs. Wafa'a Abu Sneineh for her thesis named "Critical Factors for the Evaluation of Quality in e-Learning Programs". The second thesis titled "Job Satusfaction and Employee Loyalty at Dubai Quality Award Winners" by Mrs. Nahla Fadhlani also received the award.
