Bahrain World Trade Center's Moda Mall announces new and exclusive luxury brands for Bahrain

The Bahrain World Trade Center's (BWTC) MODA Mall today announced that it is set to offer some of the most internationally renowned brands at the ultra high-end development and shopping complex, located on the ground floor of the 50-storey landmark twin towers.

MODA Mall, which will be anchored by Villa Moda, the Kuwait-based top luxury fashion retailer, will house 40 of the most luxurious fashion brands, many of which will be new to the Bahrain market. Brands represented at MODA Mall will include Emporio Armani, Gucci, Hermes, Dolce & Gabbana, Furla, Christian Lacroix, Just Cavalli, Vertu, Ermenegildo Zenga, Kenzo, Agent Provocateur, Fendi, Versace, Bottega Veneta, Loewe, Mathew Williamson, Valentino, Viktor & Rolf and many more. This exciting retail offering will join a large number of the already existing well-known fashion brands on offer at the development. These include Max Mara, Escada, Rolex, Marina Rinaldi, La Perla and Cartier to name but a few.

The mall will also feature some of the finest jewellery brands such as De Beers, Tiffany & Co., Boucheron, Chopard, Chanel Jewellery, Van Cleef & Arpels and Folli Follie among others.

To match the exclusive shopping experience, an equally exciting range of gourmet dining selections and cafes, will be making their first appearance to Bahrain. Sophisticated and fashion-forward shoppers will be treated to a variety of restaurants comprising of the fine-dining area and casual dining area along with a boutique café.

The architectural design of MODA Mall will set the scene for a truly one-of-a-kind sensory shopping and dining experience. An awe-inspiring glass-domed entrance, cool marble floors and brushed steel create an ultra modern backdrop to the high-end shopping complex.

The mall is built around a unique concept that combines the elements of wind, water, motion and the veil. Each corresponds with the distinctive shape, design and technology behind the development's iconic sail-shaped towers, which overlook the Manama waterfront and have been created to veil and harness the wind's energy and motion.

Commenting on the high-end brands coming to MODA Mall, Duaij Al Rumaihi, Associate Director of DTZ Bahrain, the leasing and managing agents for the BWTC development, and Center Manager of MODA Mall said: "The BWTC complex has provided the ideal location for these well-known brands to enter the Bahrain market and expand their presence in the Gulf region. The BWTC and MODA Mall represent the highest standards and an element of exclusivity that is unmatched in the Kingdom, which will allow it to fill a unique niche and help to meet the growing demand in Bahrain and across the Gulf region for luxury fashion brands. MODA Mall is set to emerge as a leading fashion destination for discerning shoppers as well as those looking for a cosmopolitan venue with a diversified offering of restaurants and cafes."

MODA Mall has been 90% let with the remaining units expected to be leased to additional high-quality retailers prior to the opening of the mall expected in the second half of 2007.

MODA Mall will span approximately 16,500 square metres, and will comprise the current 6,900 square metre Bahrain Commercial Complex - which is in the process of being refurbished - in addition to a new 9,600 square metre extension located on the ground floor of the BWTC development.
