Durrat Al Bahrain plays host to the Bahraini French Business Club

Durrat Al Bahrain played host to the Bahraini French Business Club on Tuesday 27 March when its senior management held its monthly meeting there.
The senior management of the Durrat Al Bahrain project, as well as its architects and engineers, Atkins, made a presentation about the development and its progress to date. The club members, including business leaders from both Bahrain and France, were then taken on a site visit to see for themselves the progress of the project. The members were shown the project islands that together give the development its unique island lifestyle theme. These include The Crescent, a semi-circular landmass extending into the sea, in addition to six Atoll Islands, five Petal Islands and a stand-alone island set to house a luxury five-star hotel and resort. The members were also able to visit a "model villa" so they could experience the look and feel of fully finished Durrat Al Bahrain villa.
At the end of the visit, the President for the Bahraini French Business Club, Abdulla Juma, said, "Our visit was a great opportunity for our members to see how this important project is taking shape. We were all impressed with the project's ambition, its design and the progress that the Durrat Al Bahrain team have made so far. Durrat Al Bahrin is undoubtedly going to be a leading mixed use destination, not only in the region but also globally."
Mr. Jassim Ahmed Al Jowder, Chief Executive Officer, Durrat Al Bahrain, said, "We're delighted that the Bahraini French Business Club were able to see for themselves how Durrat Al Bahrain is quickly becoming a reality. The progress that the club members were able to witness is testament to the hard work and dedication of the Durrat Al Bahrain team."
Upon completion in the latter part of 2010, it is expected that Durrat Al Bahrain Project will accommodate about 60,000 permanent residents and about 4,500 visitors daily.

About Durrat Al Bahrain DevelopmentDurrat Khaleej Al Bahrain Company, which is equally owned by the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Kuwait Finance House - Bahrain, develops the Durrat Al Bahrain Project.
