Gargash Enterprises reveals radically new Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The new C-Class line up, AVANTGARDE, ELEGANCE and CLASSIC, will revolutionize the face of the successful C-Class range and provide enhanced vehicle agility and luxury for customers. Gargash Enterprises will hold a series of high profile events throughout April and May 2007 to celebrate the UAE launch of the new models.

For the first time ever, the C-Class model will be available in two aesthetically different variations. The AVANTGARDE model, inspired by the sporty line of Mercedes-Benz such as the CLS, will significantly alter the appearance of the C-Class, providing a sleek new exterior for customers. The ELEGANCE and CLASSIC retain a more conservative look of the C-Class range but offer superbly advanced interior features. The transformation of the C-Class line is a pioneering step toward greater diversity of choice for customers, initiated after considered market research into customer preferences in vehicle design. The price of the new models will start from AED 129,000 increasing to the individuals' own personalized specifications!

Technical innovations in the new C-Class include the AGILITY CONTROL system, which adjusts shock absorbers in line with the driving situation and provides for even more direct steering. The model is also equipped with the ADAPTIVE BRAKE system - yet another innovation in chassis technology that offers additional assistance features. The new range is also the first in its segment to be equipped with the innovative Intelligent Light System that features five different headlight settings, and the PRE-SAFE® occupant protection system, which automatically activates measures that protect the driver and the front passenger.

C-Class passengers will also benefit from the Audio 20 and COMAND APS systems, a range of newly developed, optional infotainment units. They all feature a keypad for entering telephone numbers and radio frequencies, as well as a Bluetooth interface which wirelessly connects the mobile phone to the hands-free system. An integral 6-CD changer and the LINGUATRONIC voice control system are available on request. Functions of the COMAND APS include a music server with a four-gigabyte memory, a DVD-player for video and audio, and the LINGUATRONIC voice control system.

The highest levels of safety are ensured by seven airbags, seatbelt tensioners and belt force limiters, as well as the NECK PRO headrests, which support and protect the heads of the driver and the front passenger. In addition, the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class is offering blinking brake lights that help prevent rear-end collisions as standard equipment.

The powerful V6-engines in the C-Class model come with a choice of three petrol units developing 204 hp, 231 hp and 272 hp. "With cutting edge technology, style and performance, this forth-generation C-Class will clearly capture the enthusiasm of our customers. We are confident that it will continue the success story of its predecessor which regionally has outperformed our nearest competitors 2-1" Mr. Barber commented.

To mark the special occasion of the new C-Class launch, Gargash Enterprises will be organising a series of events in Dubai starting from 31 March 2007. The exciting host of events will include a number of prestigious club-nights followed by the organisation of a world record attempt consisting of a parade of Mercedes-Benz C-Class cars from all over the U.A.E.
