e-TQM College launches the first virtual platform of research in the Arab World and five international e-journals of excellence

e-TQM College also announced the launch of their five e-journals and the first innovative virtual platform of research: QME (Quality Management Experts) portal at the event held in the Park Hyatt Hotel in Dubai.

The first Arabic versions of five books, written by extraordinary leaders and specialist in the quality field, were launched and signed by their authors at the ceremonial book signing. The books were then presented, by their original authors, to His Highness Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mubarak Al Nahayan.

These books included, to name a few, 'Organizational Self Assessment' by Professor Tito Conti, President of the International Quality Association; 'The Power of Management Capital' by Dr. Armand Val Feigenbaum, honorary advisor to e-TQM College and the President & CEO of General Systems Company; and 'Best Practice: Organisational Excellence' by Professor Mohamed Zairi, Vice President of Academic Affairs at e-TQM College.

His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim - President of e-TQM College spoke of e-TQM College's innovations and achievements in the quality field and was proud to announce the launch of the scientific e-journals.

"The College is extremely proud to be launching five scientific periodicals released by the publishing house. They tackle some vital aspects such as education, medical care, public sector, tourism and hospitality," said His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim.

"Our celebration tonight is a materialization of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to perceive e-TQM College as a store for knowledge. We, in e-TQM College, undertook to put this piercing vision into action through establishing scientific and practical strategies that ensure its application in the real world," added His Excellency.

The e-journals announcement marks the launch of five journals of Excellence which are written by specialists in the topic each journal covers. The five e-Journals include:

- International Journal of Excellence in Education

- International Journal of Excellence in e-Solutions for Management

- International Journal of Excellence in Healthcare Management

- International Journal of Excellence in Public Sector Management

- International Journal of Excellence in Tourism, Hospitality and Catering

In the closing session of the event, a special announcement was made by Professor Mohamed Zairi, Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs at e-TQM College, to announce a new innovation in virtual research - The Quality Management Experts (QME) Portal.

"This portal is the based on a virtual platform, so there are no boundaries as to who can access it - we at e-TQM College have developed the QME portal to develop a global research community through communication and interaction at all levels," said Professor Mohamed Zairi.

The portal features different quality themes and includes research from international Gurus who specialise in Total Quality; as well as links to the scientific e-journals. A number of other features will be incorporated as the community grows to include e-Seminars, moderated online conferences, surveys and online polls.
