The programme is free to attend for trade professionals and widely regarded as the ultimate master class for both industries, featuring the largest gathering of industry luminaries ever staged in the Gulf.
According to Ms Virginia Kern, Chairman of the event's organising company, F&E, 'they will throw light on the latest trends in the packaging, printing and labelling industries. There has never been such a great opportunity for learning and networking.'
Heading the bill for packaging sector is Dr. Daniel A. Abramowicz, Executive Vice President of Crown Holdings, one of the largest packaging manufacturers in the world, and a leading advisor to academic and industry groups on packaging innovation.
Dr. Abramowicz will address delegates on the topics of 'Packaging's Role in Branding' and 'Improving Package Design'.
Another key figure at the event is one of the Middle East's own home grown printing gurus Dr. George Simonian. As a lecturer in Print Media Technology, Dr. Simonian provides tuition and mentoring around the world, including his work at the Heidelberg Print Media Academy in Cairo.
Dr. Simonian will be presenting no less than 5 sessions, covering every aspect of the industry from the latest innovations in offset printing to colour management, digital printing, ISO and quality standards as well as the highly topical issue of RFID 'intelligent' applications for the print and pack industries. This special focus on smart label printing as well as flexible packaging will be continued by Italy's Giovanni Perego of Gidue.
Other key themes under the spotlight will include the major developments in product decoration, wide-format printing applications, digital workflow techniques and latest solutions offered by key vendors such as Xerox, HP, Canon and Obeikan.
