The lecture was delivered by Mrs. Jane Storey, whose field of expertise is in Occupational Therapy and Assertiveness Training, and is a qualified Redwood Assertiveness Trainer and Life Coach.

More than a hundred students attended the lecture which focused on assertiveness and the reasons why students may lack such trait in their everyday life. The lecturer also touched upon the means to provoke individuals to communicate confidently, understand their personal rights, and practice ways to stand up for these rights.

Nelly Halabi, the Director of AUD's Health Center, commented on the event stating, "Assertiveness is a quality to be nourished and promoted among first-year university students, allowing them to appropriately cope with the ups-and-downs of the university experience. By offering such lectures to our students, we would be providing them with the right tools that enable them to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives in the future."

The level of participation was remarkable, and the feedback received from the members of the faculty and administrative bodies added to the success of the event.
