Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group holds annual celebrations

During the course of the fun filled evening, the Group also honoured winners of its unique Customer Choice Award programme that ran during 2006/07 DSF.

'Our annual party is the star event on our social calendar. Apart from the excitement and fun, it is also a great networking opportunity for our members. This year's gala evening had the added attraction of honouring winners of our customer choice award programme which was introduced for the first time ever during the recent DSF, 'said K.P. Baiju, General Manager, Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group.'

As per the programme, every DSF raffle coupon for jewellery purchases came with a detachable Golden Smiley which customers could present to their favourite retailer as an appreciation for his service. Jewellery retailers who won the maximum number of coupons would then stand to win awards under various shop categories like chain outlet, mid-sized outlet or single outlet.

An innovative award scheme, the initiative fetched the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group the coveted DSF Best Retail Services Award 2006/07 for promoting excellence in customer service.

During the course of the party, winners were announced by K. P. Baiju.

Damas Jewellery and ARY Jewellery took home the Customer Choice Award and Service Excellence Award respectively under the chain outlet category while SKY Jewellery and Al Kanz Jewellery walked away with awards under the mid-sized jewellery shop category. The award for the final category of single outlet was swept away by Yasin Jewellery.

An excited Joy. C. Johnny, Manager of Yasin Jewellery said: 'This is one of the best parties held by the association and the fact that we won the award made it more exciting. Since the award is directly rated by customers, this is a great recognition for us. We look forward to taking part in the Customer Choice award programme again next DSF.'
