The event will provide Acer with another opportunity to make its presence felt in the
Kingdom, where it already holds the number one position for the supply of Notebook PCs with a 26.8% market share, according to independent analysts, IDC.

Acer which has traditionally been one of the largest exhibitors at the show, will unveil an expanded product portfolio in 2007 alongside a range of attractive deals.

"The Saudi market is the largest in the region, and Acer is determined to improve on its success by bringing world class products regularly to the market in the Kingdom,"

said Emanuele Accolla, Vice President, EMEA and Director for the Middle East and Turkey (META) region.

At GITEX, Acer will be focusing on its three key areas: convergence, mobility and commercial enterprise. Innovative notebooks, like the Ferrari 1000 will highlight the manufacturer's effort to make the end user more mobile.

State-of-the-art LCD monitors and top-of-the-range plasma TVs all add to the expanding product line Acer is committed to provide to its end users. The company is also focusing on its customers, by making Saudi GITEX a hands-on experience, allowing customers to get up close and personal, with not just the products, but also with the Acer management.

Attendees will be able be provided with information on all Acer products, as well as have their questions answered by the top level management of the company. " We are determined to make GITEX a unique experience for IT enthusiasts," said Krishna Murthy, General Manager for Acer Middle East.

For the first time at Saudi GITEX, Acer will be introducing a wide range of AMD based products for the Kingdom. "Our customers expect leading edge technology and our products will more than satisfy the demands the customers placed on us," added Accolla.
