Emirates Road extra lane

Dubai's busy Emirates Road will be expanded to 12 lanes, Gulf News reported. The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority had originally planned to expand the highway linking Dubai and Sharjah to a five-lane dual carriageway. Meanwhile, work on a three-tier interchange with 13 bridges on the road is due to be completed by June 2008.
