NBK's Vice Chairman, Nasser Musaed Al Sayer, accompanied by Deputy Chief executive Officer, Isam Al Sager, received at his office the Chirman of Khalifa school, Mrs. Lolwa Al Ghanim, where she was presented with a cheque covering the donated amount of KD 68,000.
During the meeting, Al Sayer said, 'It is our mission at NBK to give back to our community whenever we can, and by supporting Khalifa school, known for its commitment to and care for the varying special needs students and youngsters, we are ensuring a healthy educational environment for this unfortunate segment of our society'.
On her part, Mrs. Al Ghanim said, 'We are greatly appreciative and proud to have NBK as a community partner. With donations and a few helping hands from local business, we can work together to enhance the quality of life and instill a sense of pride amongst the special needs members of our society'.
Serving Kuwait's businesses and communities for 55 years, NBK recently released its 2006 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report in which it summarized NBK's corporate giving of cash and non-cash donations and contributions to the various social causes during the past year. The newly published report included a clear list detailing the multi-faceted contributions extended by the Bank in support of social development causes starting 1993, with a total amount exceeding quarter of a billion Dollars.
NBK donates KD 68,000 for Khalifa School
National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has recently announced that it has donated KD 68,000 for Khalifa School toward funding the construction of a new auditorium within the new located headquarters of the school.
